Intervention Services

Recovery Services Intervention Services offers Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) services to adults in Anchorage.  Connections offers a unique opportunity for individuals to receive a screening for their alcohol and drug use.  "Intervention" services will be provided based on the screening and/or risk level.  Additionally, Connections offers centralized assessment and pre-treatment services.  Our assessment committee meets twice weekly and utilizes the ASAM Placement Criteria as well as DSM-IV diagnosis.  Participants who cannot be immediately placed in treatment receive pre-treatment services while waiting for a treatment opening.  Services include case management and weekly groups.
