Alyeska Match Scholarship
DEADLINES:
June 30th for Fall funding / December 1st for Spring
Cook Inlet Tribal Council's Alyeska Match Scholarship program helps eligible Alaska Natives as part of Section 29, the part of federal law known as the Grant Right of Way (ROW). This agreement recognizes that Alaska Native landowners must be compensated for land use and occupancy by the Trans Alaska Pipeline Service (TAPS). Alaska Natives, in both 1974 and 1995, opted for jobs and job training opportunities on TAPS to fulfill the ROW agreement between them and the TAPS owner companies (via Alyeska Pipeline Service Company). Recipients are preparing for an opportunity to be considered for employment on TAPS.
The Alyeska Match Scholarship offers supplementary matching financial aid to eligible Alaska Natives that are receiving other funds to attend college or vocational training in *fields specified by Alyeska. Individual awards are based on the availability of funds at the time CITC receives the student's completed application at the deadline. Awards are administered on a first-come, first-completed basis and are not intended to cover the full cost of training. If you fax your application, please mail the original to our office.
