Supportive Work Services

The Employment and Training Services provides a safe and encouraging environment where participants receive support as they progress through lifestyle changes and enhance their communication, life management and academic skills in order to succeed in the employment world. Finding employment that promotes self-sufficiency is the hallmark of this department. Case management is provided and a strength-based approach is used to support participants during transitions from Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). In addition, the Child Care Assistance Program provides financial assistance to Alaska Native and Native American families who are in need of daycare services for children.
